Rajeev Sharma from Ogilvy One, Mumbai has put in his papers and will now head Digital Solutions at Tribal DDB, the digital arm of Mudra and a member of the worldwide Tribal DDB network.
Sharma has been working at Ogilvy One-Interactive for six years. He will officially join Tribal DDB from September 1, 2006.
Confirming Sharma’s appointment, Leroy Alvares, Head, Tribal DDB, India, said, “Rajeev will head Tribal DDB’s Digital Solutions department. Tribal DDB is one of the leading interactive agencies and we are pleased to have Rajeev with us. He has been in the digital business for 11 years and his rich experience will take Tribal DDB to new heights. Rajeev’s senior position at Tribal DDB will add a lot of value to our business and our clients.”
Commenting on his stint at Ogilvy One, Sharma said, “Working at Ogilvy has been a magnificent experience as it is a great organisation to learn from. The culture and ambience at Ogilvy inspires you to give your best.”
Sharma had been heading the Profit Centre at Ogilvy One, New Delhi and was responsible for clients such as Nokia, American Express as well as the global campaign for Incredible India. After five years at Ogilvy, Delhi, Sharma moved to Ogilvy, Mumbai for one year.
Stating his reason for joining Tribal DDB, Sharma said, “I was handling integrated solutions at Ogilvy, Mumbai. Tribal DDB is the one of the leading digital agencies and I am moving back to digital solutions, which is what I really love doing.”
Sharma has also worked in Bata and TBWA prior to joining Ogilvy.
