: Rajat Jain partners with Mobile2win, joins as CEO and MD

Mobile2win India, a leading player in the wireless value added services field, has roped in Rajat Jain as a Partner in the company. Prior to this, Jain was Managing Director of The Walt Disney Company in India and before that, Head of Sony SET MAX.

An official communiqué stated: “Jain’s partnering with the existing shareholders and founders of the company and taking over as MD and CEO of Mobile2win is a step to consolidate the company's leadership position in the world's fastest growing mobile market and to accelerate its global presence.”

Investors in Mobile2win, Sandeep Singhal of Nexus India Capital, Vab Goel of Norwest Venture Partners and Peter Hua of Softbank China, in a joint statement said: “The Company is in a growth phase and we are absolutely delighted to have Rajat on board to lead the team. This is a significant milestone in this phase and will be followed by other initiatives to be announced in time. His experience both in start-ups and large enterprises and his strong media and telecom background is going to be a key ingredient of Mobile2win's future growth. As investors, we are very bullish about the company's prospects and will support the company's leadership with the resources and networks needed to reach its goals.”

Mobile2win founders Gopala Krishnan (GK) and Rajiv Hiranandani added, “We are really excited about Rajat partnering us to lead Mobile2win as it builds on its leadership position in the mobile VAS market. Rajat's expertise in marketing and business strategy will power our next phase of evolution and growth. You will see us bring in new talent, technologies and partner in the coming months. Together, we are confident of building a leading global company. His presence will further enhance the confidence of our partners and customers in the services and products we deliver.”

Mobile2win is known for its media services and mobile marketing solutions with connectivity to all telcos in the country for content and VAS services. The company is the mobile business partner for over 25 leading media brands including Hindustan Times and Sony, and has created solutions for more than 100 international consumer brands such as Perfetti, Coke, HSBC, etc. Mobile2win is a Red Herring Asia 100 winner and is the subject of a Stanford University case study.
