Rajat Basra, Associate Vice-president, Dentsu Media Palette, and Director, Media Services, Dentsu Communication, has quit. He has not yet decided on his next destination. Basra joined Dentsu early this year as Head of Media for Dentsu Communication for Delhi and Bangalore. Among the key accounts that he handled were Toyota and Yamaha.
Said Basra, “There aren’t any green pastures that I have spotted. I have not decided on anything now but will after a break.”
Speaking of his association with Dentsu, Basra said, “My stint with Dentsu has been wonderful. I take the association as a high point in my career which has made me do and participate in things beyond the regular stuff.”
Basra joined Dentsu nine months ago from GroupM’s Team LG where he was the Business Director. He spent around two years there where he headed the consumer electronics and mobile businesses, and also looked after the electronic buying for LGEIL and LG Inc.
Basra began his career with Optimedia, where he worked for five years and played a key role in the Hewlett-Packard business. After that he moved to Starcom as Associate Group Head, where he worked on the Sony business for a year before joining Team LG.
