Rajan Jetley, ex-ITDC and Air-India MD, joins Zee Telefilms as Director

Zee Network has appointed Rajan Jetley as an independent director on its Board. A former Managing Director of Air-India and MD of ITDC (India Tourism Development Corporation), Jetley is currently Chairman of Radisson Hotels Asia, the development arm of the world’s largest travel & hospitality company - Carlson Hospitality in South-East Asia.

Announcing his appointment, Ashish Kaul, Vice-President, Zee Telefilms, said, “It is an honour to announce the appointment of an accomplished professional like Jetley as a director on the Board of Zee Telefilms.”

In 1982, at the age of 32, Jetley was selected to become the MD of ITDC, the youngest ever CEO of a PSU in India. In 1987, he became the youngest MD of Air-India. An MBA from Delhi University, he started his career with ITC in 1972, rising to become Marketing Controller in the hotels division at the age of 29. He has also as President, Britannia Industries.

Currently, Jetley is a promoter and Chairman of Jacob Ballas Capital India Private Limited, an NBFC dealing primarily as advisors to the New York Life Insurance private equity funds in India.

Jetley is presently based between London and New Delhi.
