Raghwesh Asthana is Sadhna News CEO

In a major realignment, Sadhna News will consolidate its focus on regional news in Uttar Pradesh/ Uttarakhand, Bihar/ Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh/ Chhattisgarh. Sadhna News currently has three different channels, one each for the three given markets.

In line with this development, the channel has roped in Raghwesh Asthana as the new CEO. Commenting on his new role, Asthana said, “It is a very exciting opportunity for me to join Sadhna News at this point of time, when the channel is looking to consolidate its focus on regional news. It now becomes very crucial that the channel further strengthens its hold over the regional markets.”

Asthana moves from GNN News, where he was the CEO. He was instrumental in launching the channel in June 2011 and had given it a comfortable stand in the regional band focusing on Madhya Pradesh/ Chhattisgarh and Punjab/ Haryana.

Prior to GNN, he was with Mahuaa TV as Business Head and Star Vijay as Creative Head. He has also had stints at UTV and Radaan Media Works. In his 22-year career, Asthana has focused on local content for regional markets and has expertise in the same.
