Quasar Media, part of GroupM’s interaction portfolio, has appointed Ankit Saxena as Social Media Director - West. The move has been taken to strengthen Quasar’s growing digital and social media portfolio in Mumbai with clients like Colgate-Palmolive, Eureka Forbes, JKHC and HDFC Life, among others.
Commenting on Saxena’s appointment, Moneka Khurana, Business Director, Quasar (W), said, “We are happy to have an experienced social media domain expert like Ankit on board. With over five years of experience in online advertising, Saxena moves from Interactive Avenues, where he was responsible for setting up the social media advertising and social media monitoring divisions from scratch. At Interactive Avenues, he had undertaken campaigns for brands like Jet Airways, Toyota, ICICI Prudential, Reliance Life Insurance, FedEx, Kotak, Marriott Hotels and Mahindra Auto.
His ‘Boundaries for Books’ campaign for Reliance Life Insurance in association with the NGO Room To Read, had won a Silver at the IDMA 2012 awards, in the Best Use of Social Networks - Social Cause category.
