Promotions and increments on the back of a good year for Everest

Having skillfully navigated through the slowdown, Everest Brand Solutions is ushering in the New Year with optimism. At least 11 people at the agency have been promoted across disciplines, amongst several getting increments, rewards and incentives right through.

Among those promoted included Santosh Joglekar, C Sricharan, Hasnain Waris, and Sachin Bharadwaj, who have been promoted to ACD, while Celica Nair has been promoted to Copy Supervisor.

D Rajappa, President, Everest Brand Solutions, explained, “When the agency does well, it’s inevitable that the rewards are shared. It is time to recognise and reward the performers who have tirelessly devoted their lives and have stayed committed to the organisation and have contributed to the business success of all our client brands.”

He further said, “We’d seen the slowdown coming well in advance and we knew fairly well how to face it. We came out of it healthier, fitter and wiser, and as a strong team.”

Everest has deliberately opted to give contesting at awards a miss for a couple of years, opting instead to steer the agency into bigger, more rewarding waters. “Rather than winning metal for little known products and brands, we chose to grow our portfolio with recognisable brands, creating a richer canvas for the future,” Rajappa said, adding, “Even so, recognition finds its way home. For instance, PETA sent us their Glitterbox Award commending our TVC for Parle Xhale mint. And we’ve had clients and fellow agencies from all over congratulating us for our thoroughly entertaining TVC for Parle Lite Bonbons, as they did for our Indian Overseas Bank thematic TVC, and our category busting ACC Help communication.”

The creative team, led by National Creative Director N Padmakumar, has raised the quality of the Everest reel and stands poised to launch itself at the awards with strong contenders on genuine brands.

Everest claims to have managed to tide over tough times without a single recessionary measure. The agency has won several accounts, including those of Tata Housing, Virgin Atlantic and Bajaj Commercial vehicles and look set to win some more.

Meanwhile, some of the other elevations at the agency include Cyrus Maneckji and Mustafa Nalwala, who have been promoted to Associate Account Director; Bindi Kanakia has been promoted to Account Manager; Andrea Vessaokar has been promoted to Visualiser and Prakash Shetty to GM, Finance.
