Priti Shahani, Head of Marketing, Sahara One Motion Pictures, has put in her papers after being with the organisation for 20 months. She is headed for a start-up in a senior position, but refused to divulge further details about the start-up before August 2006.
Shahani said, “I am quitting Sahara One Motion Pictures as I now have a bigger and better opportunity to play a larger role in the organisation that I will be joining in August.” She added that she had been evaluating three exciting options before finalising her next move.
Commenting on her stint at Sahara, where she is currently wrapping up her pending assignments, Shahani said, “My stint at Sahara One Motion Pictures has been fantastic and it has been a challenging but interesting job as I got to build the Sahara One Motion Pictures brand since its early days. The job has been exciting from both the entertainment industry as well as the organisation point of view.”
She further said, “Sahara One Motion Pictures is a brand to be reckoned with. The organisation has introduced new genres like ‘Hanuman’ for animation, ‘Malamaal Weekly’ and ‘Corporate’, which have been successful. These and many other assignments have made these 20 months very interesting.”
Prior to joining Sahara One Motion Pictures, Shahani was one of the founding members of Hungama.com, where she worked for almost five years. Shahani has also worked in the sales department of the Taj Group of Hotels.
