Praveen Sharma joins Madison Delhi, leaving Mediaedge: CIA

After a year-long stint with Mediaedge: CIA, Praveen Sharma, who was heading the Nokia AOR at the agency, has today joined Madison Delhi as Business Director for Airtel. His key responsibilities at Madison include handling all major aspects of Airtel.

On asking why Sharma was chosen to handle one of the biggest accounts of Madison, Basabdatta Chowdhuri, General Manager, Madison Media, Delhi, told exchange4media, “He had the right credentials, he has worked on big accounts, and he is also competent apart from being an excellent media person.”

After passing out from MICA in 1996, Sharma started his career with Rediffusion DY&R where he worked on account like Colgate Palmolive. Then he moved to Initiative Media – the media buying division of Lowe Lintas, in Delhi in 1998, where his key role included handling Maruti and ITC accounts. He then moved to Zenith Media, now Mediaedge: CIA, to head the Nokia AOR.
