Prasoon Joshi, Executive Chairman, McCann Erickson India, has been elevated to Regional Executive Creative Director-Asia Pacific. He was previously Regional Creative Director for South & South-East Asia.
Joshi now will hold creative charge of all McCann operations in Asia Pac. This includes all operations in South East Asia -- India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Honk Kong, China and Australia.
In addition, another significant change from the Indian perspective is that McCann India operations have been acknowledged as a distinct entity. Previously, McCann India was reporting to South & South-East Asia Area (SEA), but given its increasing importance, it has now been given Area status in its own right. As Executive Chairman, Prasoon Joshi will be its Area Director too.
Apart from this, there are a few more changes in the McCann Regional Management. Joshi replaces Jeremy Perrott, who has recently been appointed Worldwide ECD of McCann Healthcare, as Regional ECD. He is now embarking on a similar challenge but on a global stage and for a discipline that is critical to Worldgroup growth in future. A detailed worldwide announcement of Jeremy’s new role will be made shortly by Richard Nordstrom, Global Head of McCann Healthcare.
Sorab Mistry becomes Asia Pacific Growth Officer, a role that will focus on developing both the geographical footprint and service offering of McCann Worldgroup in the region. In the short term, Mistry will oversee the restructuring of McCann operations in Indonesia. He will also be responsible for McCann affiliates in the region, and will remain based in Singapore.
Mark Ingrouille becomes SEA Area Director replacing Sorab, while remaining President of McCann Thailand. Harry Corsham becomes Asia Pacific Director of Multinational Clients. Corsham will extend the role he already plays on Microsoft to now oversee the client relationships for all of McCann’s key global clients in the region.
Mark Cripps becomes Regional Digital Director, while maintaining his role as Greater China Strategic Planning Director for MRM. In this role Mark will be responsible for the expansion of McCann Worldgroup digital capability across the region as well as digital strategy in key regional programmes.
