Prashant Tandon quits Indiatimes to join Kotak Mahindra Bank

Prashant Tandon, General Manager and Business Head - New Initiatives at Indiatimes has put in his papers. He has joined Kotak Mahindra Bank’s credit card division as Vice-President and National Head-Strategic Alliances, Internet and Mobile Banking. Tandon will be reporting to Subrat Pani, Business Head of Kotak Mahindra’s credit card division. In his new role, Tandon will be spearheading all alliances in the credit card business.

Commenting on his new appointment, Tandon said, “The reason I took up this new assignment is because it is a bigger opportunity for me. It’s another big platform and an exciting start-up.”

At Indiatimes, Tandon was not only instrumental in launching the successful co-brand Indiatimes-ICICI Bank credit card, he also spearheaded the launch of Indiatimes Art and conceptualised and implemented Indiatimes Auto. Prior to this he was with Bharti Cellular (Airtel) as Deputy General Manager and National Head - Broadband. He also worked in the capacity of Head, Interactive, with American Express Bank for over three years. Before that he had stints with Times Internet and The Indian Express Group (Mumbai).
