Pradeep Gidwani appointed MD for Carlsberg, South Asia Breweries

Carlsberg and South Asia Breweries has appointed Pradeep Gidwani as Managing Director for the company’s operations in India. Gidwani will assume his responsibilities with effect from October 15, 2007.

On the announcement, Jesper B Madsen, Senior Vice-President, Carlsberg, and Chairman, South Asia Breweries, said, “We are delighted to have Pradeep onboard the Carlsberg team in India. He brings to us vast experience in the food and beverage industry with a career spanning over 21 years.”

On the appointment, Gidwani said, “I feel privileged to have the opportunity to take on this dynamic role of leading Carlsberg and the brand’s entry into the Indian market.”

Gidwani has earlier been associated with Red Bull for Asia, Fosters in India, United Distillers, Moet Hennessy-Louis Vuitton and Unilever.


Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
