Patrick Stahle appointed CEO of Aegis Media APAC

Aegis Media on Friday announced the appointment of Patrick Stahle as CEO of Aegis Media Asia-Pacific. Stahle has been acting CEO of Aegis Media Asia-Pacific since July 2006. He has held a number of roles within Aegis Media since 1995 – as CEO of Aegis Media Sweden from 1999 to 2000 and as CEO of Aegis Media Nordics (Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland) since 2002.

Stahle has a total of 20 years’ experience in media and marketing services, including roles at BBDO, in pay TV and in a digital start-up. Interestingly, he began his career as a helicopter pilot in Australia.

In addition to this appointment, Aegis Media also announces two changes in the Asia-Pacific region. Carat Hong Kong and Carat Singapore are to be developed as new regional hubs to support large local and multi-national clients and prospects in the region. As part of this, a dedicated business development team, led by Rob Kabus, has been established. The team, which also comprises key members from the region, report to Stahle.

Mainardo de Nardis, global CEO of Aegis Media, said, “We have very good business in Asia-Pacific across all disciplines and especially in digital and media communications services with all our brands – Carat, Vizeum, Isobar and Posterscope – very well established. Patrick is the right person to take Aegis Media to the next stage of development, consolidating our marketing communications offer. He is a straight-talking internationalist who knows the communications industry inside out and he will make a real difference. The pace of change and growth in these markets is ideal for someone as focused and committed as Patrick.”

David Verklin, CEO of Carat Americas and Chairman of Aegis Media Asia-Pacific, said, “Patrick is a long time veteran of the Aegis family and has a proven track record in building and managing successful businesses. He has already done a terrific job as acting CEO in the region, and we are thrilled to make this position permanent.”

Stahle said, “Asia is a land of opportunity and this is a fantastic challenge. Aegis Media is off to a flying start in Asia-Pacific. These are some of the most exciting markets in the world today for media and communications, and the potential of Aegis Media here is almost infinite.”
