Following the exit of Sagar Mahabaleshwarkar, O&M has made some changes in its creative division. The agency has announced four Executive Creative Directors for its South-Asia operations. Sumanto Chattopadhyay, Abhijit Avasthi, Rajiv Rao and Anup Chitnis, who have been Group Creative Directors, Ogilvy India, have been elevated to the position of Executive Creative Directors, South Asia.

All four will continue to lead their current responsibilities in India with some additional responsibilities. Avasthi and Rao will supervise the work in Ogilvy Pakistan, while Chattopadhyay and Chitnis will look after work in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Commenting on this development, Piyush Pandey, Vice-Chairman, Asia-Pacific, said, “These are extremely well-earned responsibilities which are in keeping with our commitment to a shining creative product across South-Asia. This also reflects our commitment to the career growth of our people.” He further said, “Our recent move to give young people leadership positions is already paying rich dividends with Malvika Mehra and Amit Akali in Bangalore, Emmanuel Upputuru in Delhi and Suresh Babu in Chennai.
