Sumit Negi and Saji Johnny will be joining Mudra Delhi as Creative Directors, with effect from December 3. Both will report to Ullhas Chopra, Executive Creative Director, Mudra North. Negi and Johnny come in from O&M where they were spent three years as Group Heads.
Sanjay Sharma, Executive Vice President, Mudra Delhi, said, “I am happy to welcome them in Mudra. This will add as another step in creating a cutting-edge creative product for Delhi clients. We found both Sumit and Saji young, hungry and a very good creative team, which is culturally right for us.”
Negi and Johnny’s works have been nominated at Cannes for their ad on Eno. At O&M, they have handled well-known brands like Hutch, Motorola and Dabur. Prior to joining O&M, both were at Grey Worldwide for four years – Johnny was Art Director and Negi was Art Supervisor. The duo primarily handled the Hindustan Times and Domino’s Pizza accounts in Grey.
Negi said, “We met Bobby Pawar and Ullhas, and were really enthused by the plans Mudra has for creative excellence. With brands like Volkswagen, Wrigley, Apollo DKV, Dabur and Navratna, we see a lot of opportunity to do some nice work and spread our wings.”
Chopra added, “I am thrilled to say that we are attracting some really good people and brands all over again in Mudra. With Sumit and Saji on board, I am sure we will be able to raise the bar even higher on our creative product. Bobby has brought a lot of energy to the place and I am sure Mudra Delhi will be seen and noticed a lot more soon.”
