PIX, Sony Entertainment Television’s latest offering, has announced the appointment of Nydia Dias as Marketing and Communications Manager. Dias, who joined PIX from May 15, will report to Sunder Aaron, the Business Head of the channel.
Commenting on Dias’ appointment, Aaron said, “Nydia brings with her valuable experience of over eight years in the field of media and is assigned to drive PIX’s marketing and communications profile. She is an innovative, tough person and we expect her to accomplish much for us in her new role.”
Speaking about her new role, Dias said, “It is a great opportunity to work for an international Hollywood movie network, as movies are a personal passion. We have a staggering collection of movies and offer a space that a cross section of viewers can call their own. We are confident that we will build a strong brand over time as SET PIX is here to stay.”
Dias has held positions with various media firms, including Sony BMG Music and Times of India, and has worked on various campaigns like Indian Idols, Tata Young, and music launch of Hrithik Roshan-Preity Zinta starrer ‘Lakshya’, among others. Dias has also successfully managed all media and press related jobs, including organising campaigns for international stars like Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, George Michael, Jessica Simpson and Tata Young.
She last held the portfolio of Senior Manager – Marketing and Communications for Times Global Broadcasting Network, overseeing its successful marketing and communication initiatives. In the past she has also worked as a copywriter with 3 Brothers and Fils (an ad agency).
