Nikhil Gandhi joins Bindass as Regional Director

Bindass, UTV-Astro’s 360-degree entertainment brand, has appointed Nikhil Gandhi as Regional Director, West and South, Advertising and Sponsorship Sales. Bindass is expected to launch a Hindi GEC around mid-2007.

Gandhi, who has seven years’ experience in media and entertainment, has worked with Zoom, MTV Network and The Times Group.

Commenting on his appointment, Gandhi said, “Brand Bindass is going to power the growth of the media space for young India and it spells a lot of spunk and attitude. I’m really excited to be a part of this phenomenon.”

Sanjay Puthli, Senior VP – Revenue and Business Head of New Media, Bindass, said, “We are pleased to have Nikhil on board. He brings to the position not only years of media expertise, but in-depth knowledge of business trends in entertainment as well.”

Brand Bindass has an outlay of Rs 200 crore. India’s first local youth entertainment brand, Bindass will be a 360-degree entertainment venture and will include the entire gamut of entertainment: television channels, a mobile channel, three websites, creation of original games, merchandising, retail and nationwide ground events.
