Next Gen Publishing’s Mandeep Singh quits; headed towards Omnicom Group

Mandeep Singh, Vice-president, Next Gen Publishing Ltd, has put in his papers. He is headed towards Omnicom Group and is expected a head a group company there. He refused to divulge further details at the time of filing this report.

At Next Gen, Singh used to head the all-India business content division, the call centre division, Google reseller, as well as the magazine division for the Northern region.

Explaining the reason for choosing Omnicom, Singh said, “Omnicom is a huge conglomerate which has a vision for India. I would try and ensure that the vision is envisaged and implemented properly.”

Singh was associated with Next Gen Publishing for two years, prior to which he worked with Tata Infomedia (now Infomedia Ltd) for 12 years. He was General Manager at Tata Infomedia and was looking after all the divisions of the group. Before that, Singh was with ICIM for two years. ICIM is into IT and office automation.

Commenting on his stint with Next Gen, Singh said, “It was very exciting. I was involved in building up 14 properties in two years. It was extremely gratifying.”

When queried on the challenges ahead, Singh said, “The challenge is to serve clients for their advertising, marketing and promotional needs in today’s time when Indian consumers and the Indian market is changing continuously.”
