NEW Times Now CMO Rajit Desai joins Media e2e

Media e2e, a strategic media technology group, has recently taken on board Rajit Desai as Vice-president, Broadcast Business Applications. He moves from Times Now where he was in the planning function as Chief Marketing Officer. At Media e2e, Desai will handle all broadcast related business applications and also spearhead the consulting portfolio.

Desai brings a decade’s experience in media that includes heading consumer marketing and research functions for Times Now.

“We are pleased to welcome Desai into the Indian chapter of Media e2e. He brings in varied and valuable expertise to spearhead critical projects within the company. It is indeed very heartening to see more and more senior professionals vindicating the vision that originally conceived Media e2e,” said a joint statement issued by Atul Phadnis and Julie Petersen, senior partners at Media e2e.

Beginning his career in HTA-Media (now Mindshare), Desai moved to Sony Entertainment Television and contributed to the team that twice won the Emvies for Media Marketer of the year. During the same period, he also helped clinch PROMAX World Gold for the Shiksha campaign.

Media e2e has offices in Mumbai and Hong Kong. Its core strength lies in development of specialist products for the broadcast industry that it incubates and evangelises through focused industry discussions.

Media e2e also annually conducts the Branded Entertainment Awards as part of the BE Summit to celebrate product placements and brand embedding within television and cinema. This year the BE Summit will be held in Mumbai on September 16.
