NEW Amit Tripathi quits Zoom; to join as National Sales Head for Zee News and Zee Business

Amit Tripathi, Regional Manager, North, Zoom Television, has put in his papers and will be joining Zee News as National Sales Head shortly. He replaces Sanjay Dua who was heading Ad Sales of Zee News and Zee Business, and has recently moved to the TV18 Group after a four-year stint. Tripathi will be reporting to Laxmi N Goel, Director, Zee News Group, and Vice-chairman, Zee Telefilms.

Goel said that Tripathi will look after the Ad Sales function of Zee News and Zee Business. This will be Tripathi’s second stint with Zee. Goel said the organization is happy that he will come on board once again.

Explaining the reason for returning to Zee News, Tripathi said, “It’s a bigger opportunity.”

In a career spanning twelve years, Tripathi has worked with Zee TV as Associate VP between 1994-2001. After that he worked with Sify as Regional Manager, North, for a year. He was also associated with Sahara TV as Senior Manager for two years before moving to Zoom Television.
