New Ambikanand Sahay, Sahara’s news business head, quits

Ambikanand Sahay, who was heading the news business of the Sahara Group, including television and print, has resigned. When contacted by exchange4media, Sahay said, “Yes, I have quit as of yesterday.” He refused to divulge any further details.

Sahay was Senior Vice-President of Sahara India Media and Entertainment and had overseen the launch of regional centric channels like Sahara Samay Uttranchal and Sahara Samay Bihar.

Sahay had previously been with The Times of India as Resident Editor of the Lucknow edition. Prior to his TOI stint, he had worked with The Statesman.


Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
