After a six-year stint with ‘Marie Claire’ magazine, Monica Kubba has joined ‘Maxim’, the men’s magazine from Media Transasia, as National Sales Head.
As General Manager - North at Marie Claire, Kubba had conceptualised and executed marketing, branding and communications programmes for business start-ups and established organisations.
On her new role, Kubba said, “With my experience in launching a magazine, I’m sure to benefit a strong brand like ‘Maxim’, which is in sync in the market. I will take my past experience forward.”
Kubba had started her career with The Times of India in 1997 and worked there as Deputy Manager till 2005. At TOI, she had looked after the growth of Delhi Times and had managed the launch of South Delhi Plus in September 2002. She had also spearheaded the launch of Times Wellness in Delhi.
On joining men’s magazine after having worked with a women’s magazine, Kubba quipped, “I see a lot of scope for the brand and for myself, as such, a change from an all women’s to an all men’s world!”
