Narendra Tripathi returns to Radio Mantra as COO

Radio Mantra, Jagran Group’s FM venture, has roped in Narendra Tripathi as Chief Operating Officer. Tripathi has taken charge from October 9, 2009. He will be reporting to Rahul Gupta, Director, Radio Mantra. Prior to this Tripathi was with NDTV Media as Senior Vice President. When contacted, Gupta confirmed the development to exchange4media.

The COO’s post has been lying vacant till Tripathi’s appointment. This is his second stint with Radio Mantra, as prior to joining NDTV Media in 2007, he was with Jagran’s FM venture.

In a prepared statement, Tripathi said, “Amongst all the mediums, the radio industry is one which would be growing at the fastest pace, hence it makes a lot of sense to be in the thick of the things. The company has shared some very aggressive plans regarding radio and I have been chosen to execute them. I have been with the Group, and there is a lot of comfort factor working with the Group. Both, personally and professionally, it’s a great feeling to be part of the Jagran family again.”
