N Padmakumar moves from Lowe to Everest Mumbai as Creative Head

N Padmakumar has joined Everest Brand Solutions’ Mumbai office as Creative Head. He is replacing Prateek Bhardwaj who was earlier heading the department. He has moved in from Lowe Mumbai. He will report to Cajetan Vaz, National Creative Director, Everest Brand Solutions.

Paddy, as he is popularly referred to by colleagues, comes with 12 years of experience at Lowe Mumbai, where he was Regional Creative Director on Clinic Hair Care India, as well as for its corresponding brands in South and South-East Asia. He has also ventured into scripting and directing commercials for leading brands in Singapore and Sri Lanka.

Commenting on his appointment, Vaz said, “I’ve known Paddy since he joined as one of the most promising trainees at the Lintas College of Communication back in 1995. He has earned huge respect from the industry as a fine exponent of sound brand application and creative solutions. Paddy strongly believes in the future vision of Everest. We are delighted to have him partner us.”

As ECD with McCann-Erickson, Sri Lanka, Paddy had led the agency to win the ‘Agency of the Year’ title for his award-winning international campaign for Sri Lankan Airlines.

He handled the LG portfolio while he was Creative Director at Lowe, Delhi. His stint as ECD of Lowe Sri Lanka saw him being nominated ‘Creative Person of the Year’ in 2001-02 for the pathbreaking work that he did on Unilever, HSBC, Nestle, Sara Lee and Ceylon Cold Stores.

Some of his advertising creations include famous characters like ‘Senti Rama Rao’, ‘Graceful Singh’ and ‘Backwater Boys’, while he conceptualised and created ‘Fully Faltoo’ and ‘Gone Case’ as Creative Consultant with MTV Asia.

Paddy also takes great pride in being behind the launch campaign for Britannia Tiger biscuits and Liril Rainfresh during his opening years at Lowe, Mumbai, where he had started his career.
