Mukund Setlur joins Focus Group as Network Head Sales

Mukund Setlur has joined Focus Group as National Head Network Sales. He takes charge from this month. Prior to joining Focus Group, Setlur was Senior Vice President, TV18 Broadcast Ltd – Regional.

Setlur has a career spanning over 19 years with leading media houses, including TV18, NDTV, and Astro Aswani. In his role as Sales Head for Astro Awani, Setlur was responsible for the entire sales function for the network, which included digital and mobile platforms.

Prior to Astro, he had a six-year stint with TV18 Broadcast as National Sales Head for IBN7 and Panorama (ETV News channel). He had also worked as a Regional Manager for NDTV, prior to which he was Media Director at Media Edge.

He has extensive and in-depth knowledge of the satellite television industry in India, and has handled clients such as L’Oreal, HSBC, Reckitt, Tata, Colgate, Parle, IndianOil, Nirma, Manik Chand and Medimix.

Setlur began his career with Sun TV as Assistant Manager, post which he joined McCann Erickson as a Media Buyer. He also worked briefly with TV Today.
