Mudra South appoints Vipul Thakkar as Executive Creative Director

Mudra Communications has roped in Vipul Thakkar as Executive Creative Director for its South operations. Thakkar will be in charge of the South region, which includes Bangalore, Kochi and Chennai offices. He will report to Bobby Pawar, Chief Creative Officer, Mudra Communications.

Pawar has confirmed the development. At Mudra South, Thakkar will spearhead creative output on Peter England, Amrutanjan, Cycle Agarbattis, Jockey, UB Spirits, and The Week, among others.

Speaking to exchange4media on his new role, Thakkar said, “The thing that impresses me most about Mudra is the consistency with which it has been creating innovative and effective advertising in the recent years. Obviously, this has been possible because Mudra, unlike any other agency, creates truly integrated communication solutions for its brands. Also, what is heartening to know is that it’s actual brand work that is picking up so many metals, both at home and abroad. As for Mudra South, I am looking forward to some exceptional work coming out of the Bangalore, Kochi and Chennai offices in 2011.”

Prior to Mudra, Thakkar was with Ogilvy India Bangalore. He was associated with Ogilvy India for two years. He brings a total of 15 years of experience. He has also worked with Grey Worldwide, Bates 141 (then Enterprise Nexus), DDB Egypt (relaunched Vodafone). At Ogilvy India, some of the brands that he had handled were Bingo, Titan, Allen Solly, MTR Foods, and SAB Miller.
