MTV Networks India on Thursday announced the appointment of Nitin Jain as its new Vice President, Ad Sales. Jain came to MTV Networks from GroupM where he was General Manager.
Commenting on the appointment, Alex Kuruvilla, Managing Director, MTV Networks India, said, "Nitin and I go back a long way and have had some great times working together. I've always been impressed with his unique analytical and creative skills. His proven track record as brand champion on Pepsi and various other mega brands makes him the perfect choice to complement MTV's strengths in creating marketing solutions for its clients."
Jain said, "From one kind of madness to another, hopefully more naughty with a great bunch of wild cats. But, I genuinely believe it would be fun, exciting and challenging (cliché). Looking forward to keep the MTV cult alive and kicking and living up to its reputation. Bye, bye media planning and buying. Here comes selling."
Jain brings with him work experience of over 16 years in the volatile advertising and media industry. Starting off as a Systems Analyst & Researcher teaching Operations Research to Account Supervisor at Hindustan Thompson Association, New Delhi, and finally, General Manager, GroupM, New Delhi. Nitin, with his immense exposure and success with sports (largely cricket) and music, has created magic for other GroupM clients in his last role as General Manager, Sports & Music.
