Vikram Raizada, Vice-President, Marketing, Digital & Communications, MTV, has put in his papers. Raizada is leaving the channel at the end of the month. He did not disclose his next port of call.

Raizada spent around six and a half years with MTV Network during which time the channel put up properties like MTV Immies, MTV Summit, Youth Icon, MTV Roadies. His tenure also saw the launch of international music channel VH1.

Speaking to exchange4media, Raizada said of his stint with MTV, “It was fantastic, working at MTV has been an absolutely amazing journey. The youth market changes very rapidly. It was a constant evolution with a new set of ideas and 360-degree initiatives. It was a great place to be in. It was extremely positive.”

Raizada began his career in advertising and worked with agencies like Trikaya Grey (now Grey Worldwide), where he was Account Supervisor, and O&M, where he was Account Director. He spent three and a half years in each of the agencies and then moved to the jewellery sector with InterGold International, where he spent around two and a half years as GM-Marketing and Product Development, before moving to MTV as Director-Marketing.

Raizada, who brings with him around 15 years of experience, said, “I believe very strongly in long term stints. It’s far more rewarding and far more gratifying to be in one single company for a longer period.”
