Beefing up its senior management further, MPG has appointed Ruby Bana as National Head of Strategic Planning. Bana joined the agency on August 12, 2005 and is reporting to MPG President, Jeffrey Crasto. With this assignment, Bana returns to media. Her previous notable stint was with Maxus, Bangalore, which ended in December 2004.
Commenting on the appointment, Crasto said, “Ruby has worked with me in the past at Contract, in Mumbai as well as Bangalore. We had done some rewarding and satisfying work on clients like Shopper’s Stop, Heinz, BAT and Philips in Mumbai, and the launch of Ayurvedic Concepts (now Himalaya) in Bangalore.”
The agency has recently added people to its senior management in the Mumbai and Delhi offices. Crasto explained, “We are adding experts from the field in our offices, and with Ruby now on board, we are in a position to solidify our position on the Strategic Planning front and add immense value to our existing as well as prospective clientele.”
Bana began her media career with Contract, Mumbai, and subsequently moved to the agency’s Bangalore office. Later, when GroupM was formed three years ago in India, she took on the role of GM, Maxus-Bangalore.
