MPG appoints Anita Nayyar as CEO and Country Manager

Anita Nayyar has been appointed as CEO and Country Manager of MPG. She will be reporting to Vishnu Mohan, CEO of MPG for Asia Pacific. Prior to her latest appointment, Nayyar was Managing Director, Starcom (North India, Pakistan and Bangladesh).

Commenting on Nayyar’s appointment, Mohan said, “Anita brings with her years of management experience across multiple networks – an asset that would help take MPG to the next levels in India.”

Speaking about her new role, Nayyar said, “MPG has been a different agency in the last year, sending the right signals with their talent induction, opening of the online and sports marketing operations and new business wins. I want to accelerate this build-up, strengthen the 360 offer and increase presence in other markets in the sub-continent.”

Nayyar is a 23-year veteran in the industry and has had experience in Saatchi, O&M, Initiative, Mediacom and Mudra prior to her Starcom role since 2003.

Meanwhile, MPG also announced the stepping up of Jeffrey Crasto, who while continuing to be the President and Chief Buying Officer for India, would now also take the role of Chief Investment Officer for South East Asia. Ruby Bana, currently Chief Strategy Officer for India, would also add South East Asia to her responsibilities. This follows the announcement sometime ago about MPG’s expansions plans and the opening up of its offices across several Asian markets.

While the focus would continue to be India, where Crasto and Bana would support Nayyar in scaling up the Indian operations, they would co-work with Mohan in supporting the operational expansions in other Asian markets.

MPG operates in India across Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai and are media partners to several local and international companies, including Reckitt Benckiser, Dell, Aditya Birla Group, Indian Bank, Red FM, Goodyear, Oriental Insurance, Air France, Lacoste, and Mindtree Consulting, among others.
