Neelanjan Shome, CMO, HT Media, has decided to move on. Shome was serving his notice period, which had ended last week. He had spent close to three years at HT Media, where his key responsibilities included managing assets in print (English and Hindi general interest dailies, English business newspaper), radio and Internet.

While no official confirmation could be obtained about Shome’s replacement, it is known that Pankaj Seith, VP, Consumer Insights; Shantanu Bhanja, VP, Marketing; and Rajan Bhalla, also VP, Marketing, would jointly handle the responsibilities handled by Shome.

When contacted, Shome refused to comment on the development. Prior to his stint at HT Media, he was Managing Director at Young & Rubicam, Indonesia for a year.

Shome, who has close to 25 years’ experience, had started his career with Lintas, where he worked on various Unilever brands for a decade. He then moved to PepsiCo, where again he spent a decade and handled various positions. His last designation at PepsiCo was Regional VP, Non-carbonated Beverages, APAC.
