Euro RSCG is attempting to strengthen its creative team in a big way. After Chetan Bhagat having stepped in, Santosh Patil is now joining in as a Creative Director. He was a part of the creative team at Ogilvy & Mather. Sujit Patil is the other half of this creative duo, and the two have the distinction of being voted as the hottest creative persons in India by Campaign Brief magazine.

Santosh has spent around eight months in Link Ads as a Visualiser/Illustrator and two years at MAA Bozell Mumbai as the Art Director. He has also put in one year and six months at TBWA Anthem Mumbai as Group Head, Art. Currently, he is working at O&M Mumbai. The brands, which have been handled by him, include Hutch, Orange, Playwin, Star Network, Close-Up, VIP Frenchie, Frenchie X, Mid Day, Venky's, Radio City, CPAA, Childline, Adasia 2003, BP Oil, Frooti, Society Tea and Zandu etc.

Santosh Patil has made it as a finalist at London Ad Fest, finalist at Young Guns, Asia Pacific Finalist, and has also bagged Abby Silver and Silver Lions at Cannes.

Suman Srivastava, President, Euro RSCG, said, "Santosh Patil is an essential component to our creative team. At Euro RSCG, we are dividing our structure in such a way that on one hand, there's a creative team that deals with mainstream advertising, and at the other end, there's a creative team that deals purely with below the line. While we have our focus on our creative team, we are also investing a good deal in our planning department. We have made some new additions to our planning team in recently, and globally, as well as in India, we are spending a good amount of money on quantitative research."

Srivastava has also dabbled a good deal when it comes to client servicing, with deputations being sent within the client's organisation in order to expedite the servicing process. But isn't that a sure-fire way of losing key people to the client's side of the fence?

Srivastava said, "Why live in fear? If the organisation offers good prospects and a great working environment, people will keep coming in. You can't narrow somebody's horizons, just because you are afraid of losing that particular employee. While in Lintas, I have been on deputation at Lever's and it was a great learning experience for me."

Euro RSCG was in the news recently for bagging the Globus account.
