INX Media is further fortifying its team. Indrani Mukerjea is adding new members to various functions of the channel, and one of the latest additions is aMap CEO Tapan Pal. Pal has joined the channel in the research function. Official comments were not available at the time of filing the report, but high placed sources informed that he was heading research for INX.
Another rumour doing the rounds is regarding Insight’s Sai Nagesh, who is expected to be in talks with INX for heading the marketing function of the entity. Even as a Sales Head is not in place at present, sources informed that STAR India’s Shailesh Bijlani had already joined INX in sales.
Richard Platt has taken complete control of the Programming of INX. Dilip Ghosh, who had come in as the Controller for Content, is currently concentrating on Product Development, where he is looking at projects like tele-films.
Kumud Chaudhary is looking after the fiction content on the channel, while STAR India’s Sharmishtha Gupta, who has been associated with programmes like KBC, will be working on the non-fiction content of 9X.
Sources further informed that the primetime of the channel was also largely in place. Some of the production houses that have partnered with the channel for its initial offering include Balaji Telefilms, Smriti Irani’s Ugreya and Synergy, among others.
