Ashish Kashyap-led MIH India has appointed Mudit Khosla of Yatra.in as its VP and Head, Alliances and Business Development. At Yatra, Khosla was one of its founding members working as General Manager, Strategic Relations Group.
“As a part of growing our core management team, Mudit is a strategic hire for our company. He comes with immense energy and insight on consumer Internet space. He is a critical resource as we set up our business at MIH,” Kashyap said on Khosla’s appointment.
Before joining Yatra, Khosla was with Indiatimes Shopping for more than four years as its Category Head. Prior to Indiatimes, Mudit worked at eBaya, one of India’s earliest eCommerce portals, which closed down during the Internet bust. Khosla has also worked closely with most major consumer brands in India, such as LG, Archies, Reebok, HP, Philips, and Nestle, among others.
Asked about the products that MIH is aiming to launch in India, Kashyap said, “Our focus will be both on the Internet and mobile space. The first set of products will be launched by middle of September. We are looking to have four or five products in the market by December-end.”
On the reason of MIH’s focus on India, Kashyap said, “Our confidence comes from the growth that is happening in the user market in India and the many gaps existing in consumer Internet space that are available and vacant till now. We will be filling those gaps by launching new products.”
As reported earlier by e4m, MIH India had recently hired Arunava Sinha as its Head of Content and Services.
