Mediascope Publicitas, the Swiss media consultancy, has appointed Gourav Tandon as COO for its newly launched out-of-home (OOH) vertical. Tandon had put in his papers at Navia Asia as Chief Operating Officer earlier in June 2010.
Tandon has more than 12 years of experience in the OOH media business and has worked in all aspects of OOH, including printing, signages, acquisition and sale of media, besides planning and buying. He began his career with GMS Technologies and then worked with agencies such as MOMS, Aaren Initiative and Ogilvy. He has also worked with Clear Channel, where he was handling the assets and AOR divisions for the Northern region. He has worked on national brands such as LG, Emaar MGF, Voltas, Michelin Tyres, Yamaha, Sony Ericsson and Panasonic.
On Tandon’s appointment, Robin Carruthers, Managing Director , Mediascope Publicitas OOH, said, “In keeping with our commitment of building one of the best outdoor companies in India over the next few years, we will hire the best talent in the industry.
