McCann Bangalore beefs up creative team with 2 hires

McCann Bangalore has strengthened its creative team with two new appointments. Vinod Lal Heera Eshwer and Melvin Jacob have been roped in as Creative Directors.

Commenting on the new appointments, Prasoon Joshi, Chairman and CEO, McCann Worldgroup, India and President, South Asia said, “McCann Bangalore has been an exemplary office and has been growing steadily. There are great things expected from the team, and I believe Vinod and Melvin joining is a step in that direction.”

Eshwer’s advertising career has been divided between two offices of two agencies – Ogilvy & Meridian, Bangalore, and Saatchi & Saatchi, Bangalore and Kuala Lumpur. His work has been awarded at major international shows, including Cannes, D&AD, One Show, LIAA, CA, and Clio, among others.

On his new role Eshwer said, “I love the freedom and openness here in McCann. Totally refreshing and invigorating. I feel McCann has the perfect environment for nurturing ideas and producing work that works with the junta as well as the juries.”

Clocking over 15 years of agency time, Melvin Jacob started out at Chrysalis in Thiruvananthapuram, with stints at Maitri and David in Chennai, TBWA Dubai, Ogilvy’s Global Hub in Bangalore and most recently Lowe in Malaysia.

“The pace of Indian advertising is immense and McCann Bangalore seems to be channelling that energy in South India. On paper, the brands and teams look interesting, so should be good to see what gives,” Jacob said on his new appointment.
