Maxus Bangalore GM Sriram Sharma quits; Vishwanath Hariharan of MindShare to replace him
Sriram Sharma, General Manager, Maxus Bangalore, has quit. Vishwanath Hariharan, who is currently Business Head, Mindshare Bangalore, will replace him as General Manager, Maxus Bangalore. Sharma’s next destination could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.
Confirming the development, Ajit Varghese, MD, Maxus India, said, “Sriram has been excellent in people management and was able to deliver the clients’ requirements in an effective manner. He needed a break and is leaving the organization only due to his ill health.”
Sharma, who was Business Director on the Titan account at Maxus Bangalore, was appointed GM on June 1, 2006. He took over from Anil George, who joined as Chief Operating Officer, MMTV, the television division of Malayala Manorama. Sharma has been with Maxus since 2003. He started his career with MAA Bozell in 1996. He has also worked with McCann Erickson, Hughes Software and Initiative Media prior to joining Maxus.
The new man in, Hariharan, who started his career with MindShare in 1994, had been handling blue-chip accounts such as Nike, IBM, I-flex, Lenova, Standard Chartered Bank and UB Group during his tenure as Business Director in MindShare Bangalore.
