MAX appoints T Gangadhar as Marketing Head

Hindi movies and special events channel MAX has appointed T Gangadhar as Marketing Head. Gangadhar will report to Albert Almeida, Executive VP and Business Head, MAX.

Commenting on Gangadhar’s appointment, Almeida said, “In an increasingly competitive and diversified marketplace, Gangadhar’s 13 years of experience and knowledge of consumer marketing and advertising will prove to be a precious asset to MAX. It’s a big year for the channel with two of the biggest Cricket events – the ICC Champions Trophy and the ICC Cricket World Cup – scheduled to air on MAX. In addition, we will continue to bring to our viewers the biggest blockbuster movies. Gangadhar will drive and spearhead the marketing and communication efforts and build MAX into an even stronger brand.”

Gangadhar said, “I am delighted to join the MAX team and I look forward to an exciting time ahead. For an avid movie and cricket buff like me, there’s no better place to be than here. MAX is already the preferred destination when it comes to quality entertainment – my task would be to sustain and further consolidate this strong equity.”

Prior to joining MAX, Gangadhar was with Lowe India as Vice President (South) – Strategic Planning, where he looked after Lowe’s Bangalore and Chennai offices.

He has also worked with leading advertising firms including Mudra Communications, Lowe Lintas and has handled key businesses like Reckitt and Coleman (Robin range), Madura Garments (Peter England), Titan Industries (Tanishq, Fastrack and Sonata), Hindustan Lever (Kissan and Kwality Wall’s), Britannia Industries, General Motors, Subaru, Hyundai and Kia Motors, among others.
