Mauj appoints Manoj Dawane as CEO

Manoj Dawane has been appointed CEO of Mauj, which is part of People Infocom, the wireless division of People Group that owns interactive websites such as Shaadi.com, Fropper.com and Astrolife.com.

Mauj is a mobile value-added services provider in India and offers telecom solutions such as mobile content, applications, software and mobile media solutions such as branding and advertising. As CEO of Mauj, Dawane will look after the day-to-day workings of the company and will lead the People Infocom team towards an aggressive growth path both nationally and internationally.

Dawane had started his sojourn in the field of technology as Marketing Executive with Philips India. Later, he worked with Hutchison Max Telecom Group as Product Manager-Prepaid and VAS. He has an experience of 15 years in the field of telecom and software.

Prior to joining Mauj, Dawane was with Bharti Airtel as COO for the Western UP and Uttaranchal sectors. At Bharti Airtel, he was also on the advisory panel for all VAS activities for the company and was chosen as Business Head-Innovation/New Product Development and VAS Management, among various Bharti Airtel’s strategic business units (SBUs) nationally, in 2006.
