LVMH elevates Shantanu Mukerji as GM-South Asia

Luxury product group Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) has elevated Shantanu Mukerji as General Manager-South Asia, LVMH Watch & Jewellery. He will report to Marcus Stadelmann, President-South East Asia, LVMH Watch & Jewellery.

Mukerji said, “This is an exciting opportunity for me at an exciting point of time. The economies of Asia and the sub-continent are flourishing, and the aspirations of the citizens of this geography are rising. The challenge to establish world class brands here is a fantastic one, and I look forward to achieving new milestones.”

Mukerji holds a MBA degree from IIM Ahmedabad. He started his career as an intern with the Swatch Group in Switzerland and then joined Nike in Singapore as Marketing Manager for South East Asia. In 2002, he joined LVMH Watch & Jewellery to contribute to the set-up of the Indian subsidiary as well as to establish the distributor network in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Maldives. As Brand Manager for Dior watches in India, he actively led the successful re-positioning of the brand here.
