Lovleena Raina has joined O&M as Vice-president, Account Management, to handle the Motorola account. She will be report to O&M President Sanjay Thapar. Raina moves in from Future Brands where she joined in February 2007 as Team Business Leader.
Said Thapar, “We needed a person to head the Motorola business as Pallavi Mishra has moved on. Raina’s diverse experiences made us select her. She will be looking after the South-west Asia business of Motorola that includes Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India.”
Raina said, “The reason I joined O&M was primarily due to the amazing work that the agency consistently creates. My mandate in joining O&M would be a two-fold one. The first is to pull together a responsive team and be a strategic business partner to Motorola India. The second mandate is to lead the South Asia regional team for Motorola at O&M. Along with the regional team, we would put together best practices in low-tier communications with the objective of exporting these to high-growth markets so that Ogilvy in India becomes a regional centre of excellence.”
Raina started her career as a Planner at Frank Simoes in 1996. In 1998, she moved to McCann Erickson in the account management division where she worked on the Gillette business, and was there till March 2004. While at McCann, apart from Gillette, Raina also worked on Duracell, Alpenliebe, Chloromint, Happydent, Chatar Patar, Big Babool, Virgin Atlantic, India Today and Cosmopolitan. She then joined Grey Worldwide as Director-Client Services.
At Grey Worldwide, her portfolio included Wrigley, Carrier Aircon, Ranbaxy, India Today, Incredible India and BSNL. Prior to joining Future Brands, Raina moved back to McCann Erickson in March 2005 to head the Nestle Beverages business, Dabur’s toothpaste business and General Motors, which included Chevrolet Aveo, U-VA, SRV and Optra.
