L Subramanyan named new CEO of Jasubhai Digital Media

The board of directors of Jasubhai Digital Media (JDM) has named L Subramanyan as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect. Subramanyan has been with group since February 2005 as President and Publishing Director, where he was looking after a range of general management, operations and sales and marketing issues.

Jasubhai Digital Media MD and Publisher, Maulik Jasubhai, said that board had unanimously selected Subramanyan based on his contribution to JDM as well as his strong executive and personal qualities.

“Over this past one year, he has also ably demonstrated that he is a person who shares our values and vision, he is a team player and is deeply concerned about individual wellbeing of our people and is willing to spend the time and effort required to nurture young talent. These capabilities and attributes will hold him and Jasubhai Digital Media in good stead for years to come,” Jasubhai added.

“I have worked closely with Subu over the past one year and I am absolutely certain that he is a person who can bring in the new level of management capabilities and expertise required to not only grow this company rapidly, but also do so profitably,” he further said.

Commenting on his new appointment, Subramanyan said, “I am honoured to have been named CEO of the Jasubhai Digital Media group. Leading a media house of international repute such as Jasubhai is an exciting and challenging task and I am looking forward to it. I strongly believe that JDM can reach heights it often contemplated only conservatively and I look forward to leading Jasubhai Digital Media to the pinnacle of success.”

Prior to his current responsibilities, Subramanyan was Head of Marketing and Strategy at Zensar Technologies Ltd, based in Pune. There his responsibilities included taking care of the global marketing requirements of Zensar, stakeholder for strategy function, designated key account management and direct sales responsibilities for Continental Europe.

Subramanyan has also been the Chief Editor of Dataquest and its associated publications for over 10 years.
