Keki Dadiseth roped in as Non-Executive Chairman of Omnicom Group India

Omnicom Group Inc has appointed Keki Dadiseth as Non-Executive Chairman of the Group in India. Dadiseth, who will be working with Michael Birkin, Omnicom’s Asia Pacific CEO, will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for Omnicom’s expansion in India.

Commenting on the appointment, John Wren, President and CEO of Omnicom Group Inc, said, “India has become increasingly important for Omnicom. Over the years, Dadiseth has built a reputation for himself as a director of numerous Indian companies as well as Unilever PLC and NV, and Prudential Plc. He is also an international adviser to Goldman Sachs. He recently retired from Unilever Plc and Unilever NV where he had been a Board Director for five years. Prior to this, Dadiseth had been the Chairman of Hindustan Lever – the culmination of a long and highly successful career at the company.

In India, Dadiseth is closely associated with various industry, educational, management and medical bodies. He is a Trustee of the Ratan Tata Trust and a member of the International Advisory Board of Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc. He is also an international advisor to Goldman Sachs. Dadiseth is a Director of Prudential Plc and the Indian School of Business.

Omnicom globally comprises the industry’s most award-winning advertising brands – BBDO, DDB and TBWA, specialist media-buying companies OMD and PHD, and the Diversified Agency Services group (DAS). Through its networks, the group serves numerous multinational and local clients in India.
