Keertan Adyanthaya to move to Fox International Channels & NGC as Managing Director

Keertan Adyanthaya, the EVP and GM at Star Movies and Star World, is slated to take charge at Fox International Channels and National Geographic Channel, as Managing Director. Adyanthaya moves to his new role in April 2010. Even though official confirmation was not available at the time of filing the report, highly placed sources have confirmed the development to exchange4media.

The channels under his charge would include NGC, Fox History & Entertainment, Fox Crime, FX, NGC Wild, NGC Adventure, NGC Music and Baby TV.

It may be recalled that NGC India did not have a head since Nikhil Mirchandani moved on to Star One as EVP and GM in September 2009.

Adyanthaya had recently taken over his responsibility at Star World and prior to that he was Executive Vice-President and General Manager, Star Plus. Adyanthaya, who has close to 15 years’ experience, began his career as a media planner in 1995, working with Euro RSCG and then Ogilvy & Mather and Mindshare Fulcrum. His entry in the television business came with Channel [v], where he was heading the channel until 2003, when he was moved to Star News as Brand Director. Adyanthaya then took on the charge of international music channel Vh1, before coming back to STAR India.
