Publicis Ambience has appointed Kaustav Das as Executive Vice President for South. He will be responsible for launching the Publicis Ambience Bangalore office. Das moves from Orchard India, where he had a short stint as Managing Director.
Commenting on his new appointment, Das said, “The Publicis philosophy of ‘Contagious Communication’ is so potent that it can actually shape the direction that media neutral communication will take in future across the world. Das began his career in 1992 with Sobhagya Kolkata, before moving on to Sistas Kolkata. He then shifted cities to O&M Bangalore, where he handled the UB Ltd beer portfolio. His next stint was with Lowe (then Lintas India), where he went on to head the Hindustan Lever foods portfolio (Dalda, Flora, Kissan). While at Lowe, he was seconded to Levers as Brand Manager on the prestigious Dalda Activ project, following which he headed Account Planning at Lowe’s Bangalore office.
After two short stints at Mudra Chennai and RK Swamy BBDO, Das headed EuroRSCG Chennai for over two years before taking over as VP South, TBWA\India. He grew TBWA\India’s South operations by 400 per cent in his 30-month stint there and earned himself the nickname ‘Son of a Pitch’ among his colleagues and friends.
