Kaushik S Chakravorty (Chax), National Creative Director, Rediffusion DYR, has decided to move on from the agency. The reason stated is that he needed time to explore other creative opportunities. Chax would be serving a three-month notice period and would be with the agency till September-end. Mahesh Chauhan, President, Rediffusion DYR, informed that the agency had not identified a replacement as yet.
Commenting on his decision, Chax said, “I have done what I came to do at Rediffusion, and for me it has been a satisfying experience.” On being asked about his future plans, he replied, “I will decide on what to do after I leave. I may get into television, feature films or any other media-related work, but I don’t think I will continue in advertising.”
Chauhan said, “Chax has played a long inning at Rediffusion, and he has been an asset to the agency. We are hopeful to find a suitable replacement by September-end.”
Chax had joined Rediffusion as National Creative Head in August 2004. Since then, the agency has won many awards under his directorship, including the Gold at Cannes 2006. The agency has also successfully launched campaigns like DNA and Tata Sky, to name a few.
