Kamal Basu quits Saatchi & Saatchi; Matt Seddon to step in

After a stint of 11 years, Kamal Basu, CEO, Saatchi & Saatchi India has resigned from the agency. Basu confirmed the development to exchange4media, and stated that he would announce his next assignment in three to four weeks.

The agency has moved Matt Seddon from Saatchi & Saatchi Philippines, where he was Vice Chairman and CEO, to look after India. The development is expected to take shape in 2012.

Speaking to exchange4media on his reasons to move, Basu said, “It was time to change, time to move on and do something different.”

Prior to Saatchi & Saatchi, Basu was with agencies such as Ogilvy India, DY&R and BBDO, having spent over 17 years in this domain.
