Kamal Basu headed to Skoda as Marketing Head

It is learnt that Kamal Basu, who had recently put in his paper as Chief Executive Officer of Saatchi & Saatchi India, is joining Skoda India as Marketing Head. He will be replacing Tarun Jha at Skoda.

Basu’s date of joining Skoda couldn’t be confirmed at the time of filing this report.

He had joined Saatchi & Saatchi as Executive Vice-President, Mumbai in 2000. He was elevated to Chief Executive Officer in 2008. After Basu’s exit, Matt Seddon has been brought in from Saatchi & Saatchi Philippines to look after India.

Prior to Saatchi & Saatchi, Basu had spent eight years at Ogilvy India. He had also worked with agencies like DY&R and BBDO. He has spent over 17 years in this domain.
 

Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
