With Premjeet Sodhi, former Senior Vice-President and Head of Intellect, being elevated to the position of Head of Initiative, the mantle of heading Intellect has fallen on Julius Augustine. Augustine will continue in his role as AVP-Strategy, Media Futures, in addition to his new responsibility.
Confirming the development, Lynn De Souza, Director, Lintas Media Group, said that Augustine would be reporting to her as well as Raj Gupta, who is the Chief Strategy Officer of the group.
Augustine said, “Premjeet’s contribution to Intellect has been immense, where he had done some path breaking work using research to create a market model mix. He has also created and developed many of our propriety tools. My role is essentially to take Intellect to the next level by taking the existing tools and technologies forward and developing some new ones as well.”
He further said, “I am looking forward to the amalgamation of my prior experience in media research and analytics and come up with software that will benefit the Lintas Media Group in planning, strategy and even predicting GRPs.”
Augustine had joined Media Futures, a media brand consultancy that was launched in February 2006, in June 2006. Prior to this, he was heading a quantitative team at Hansa Research. He has also worked with Mudra Communications, where he was with their market research division and spent close to two years, after which he moved to ORG-MARG, where he spent nearly seven years in media research.
