Even though he is still serving a notice period at Brand David, recently rechristened Bates David Enterprise after the merger with Bates Enterprise, Josy Paul has decided on his next destination. Not venturing far from the WPP family, he has been appointed National Creative Director of JWT India. The development comes along with the announcement of Agnello Dias being promoted as National Creative Director. With this, both Dias and Paul will be looking after JWT’s creative function.
Colvyn Harris, CEO, JWT India confirmed the development. Paul assumes his new role on April 16, 2007.
Harris explained, “There are over 300 people just within the creative function at JWT. I think Josy and Aggi (Agnello Dias) will help in taking this structure to the next level. In this structure, we would be able to focus a lot more on the clients’ brands now.”
Bruce Matchett, National Executive Creative Director, JWT, who had joined in 2005, is moving out from JWT India offices. He is going back to Australia due to personal reasons.
